i used to be really active in the scanlating community about 4yrs ago and i proofread/typesetted for some really really popular mangas and i kinda miss doing that. maybe i’ll get back into it when college apps are done?

You should def get back into scanlation!! I was also active around 3-4 years ago and quit because college got too hectic, but I’ve since graduated and I’ve recently got back into it :P I joined evil flowers and Phoenix serenade. Tl;dr if you have the passion and time to rededicate, do it!! Scanlators are ALWAYS looking for more staff members :)
Also if you were a typesetter maybe you typesetted some of my proofs HAHA I was raininfusedchai in Akashi scans, tho it’s been so long I doubt you remember :P
YEAH I’m in my senior year of high school, so once I’m done w/ college apps and acceptances I think I’ll definitely get back into it. It’s really rewarding to provide the community w/ something aha, although definitely one of my more time consuming hobbies back then. Though typically I only joined scanlation teams that had manga that I was reading bc I wanted to read them myself LOL o u o
