idk people are hating on whites for the outcome for the election but i have friends who are minority/poc who voted for trump. Friends who are minority/poc, chose not to vote, and are meme-ing the election of trump. I think that is infinitely worse than the plethora of middle-class white ppl who voted for trump (& who u knew was gonna vote for trump anyway).

I forget how immature and narrow-minded people can be. Living overseas for almost seven years now has allowed me to see the discrepancies between kids my age, who have been influenced by a multitude of cultures and backgrounds, and kids in America who lack the influence of a truly diverse society to shape their perspectives. It’s a shame that I have to view mature and eloquently dictated posts on Facebook made by my non-American/white American friends despairing over Trump’s victory, and then to see posts made by my minorities/POC American friends celebrating their vote for Trump. 

And while it’s appropriate to find disappointment in white people who voted for Trump, people who voted for 3rd party candidates, or the horrible people who voted for Harambe, I find myself more disgusted by the behaviours of my friends in America who find it appropriate to meme about the current situation despite the fact that Trump stands for everything they actually are.
